Northeastern Illinois University’s Noyce Scholars Program supports the recruitment and retention of talented Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Earth Science?majors in Secondary Education through the National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship and the Noyce STEM Internship Program. Northeastern's work is supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. 1660785.
The Noyce Teacher Scholarship is worth up to $17,725 per academic year for Northeastern students to be used for the cost of attendance for up to two years. This award is in addition to paid summer internships and undergraduate research, mentoring, peer leadership and school and community partnerships. This is an exciting program that prepares those who have chosen a career path in secondary education STEM to teach in high-need urban schools.
